How do I request service?
The Program is valid for purchases made between August 1st 2025 and August 1st 2028.
To qualify, customers must register their Eligible Product within 30 days of purchase by completing the online registration form on Shimano’s official website and providing proof of purchase.
Eligible reels can be the returned to a Shimano Authorised dealer or a collection can be arranged by contacting Shimano Service centre by email at spares@shimanofish.com.au Shimano will cover the cost of collection and return shipping.
Do I need proof of purchase (e.g., a receipt) when requesting service?
Yes, proof of purchase will be necessary online and to activate.
I bought the 25 Stella SW overseas—can I use this service program?
No, The Shimano Stella 3-Year Free Servicing Program is offered by Shimano Australia Pty Ltd (“Shimano”) and is available for reels purchased in Australia only.
I purchased a 25 Stella SW in Japan, but now live abroad. Can I send it to Japan for servicing and have it returned to my international address?
Unfortunately, this service plan only applies to Stella SWD reels purchased in Australia, and repairs cannot be shipped internationally.
Is the service program only available for new purchases?
I bought my Stella SWD secondhand (or received it from a friend)—am I still eligible? No. The 25 Stella SWD is eligible for one annual service until 1st August 2028 and is only available to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Is the 19 Stella SW eligible for this program? No, only the 25 Stella SWD qualifies.
• I own two 14000XG reels. Last month, I had one serviced through the program—can I now request maintenance for the second one?
Yes, if they are separate units, both are eligible for service.
How long does servicing take?
Servicing is subject to an average turnaround time from the date of receipt at the service centre.
PARTS REPLACEMENT
Which parts are eligible for free replacement?
Replacement of parts as needed, at Shimano technician’s discretion.
Will Shimano contact me if a recommended replacement part is not covered for free?
Yes, if you request an estimate. If you provide a budget limit, Shimano will contact you if the cost exceeds that amount.
EXCLUSIONS
The Shimano Service Plan does not cover:
· Corrosion due to excessive water ingress or neglect of maintenance or general care.
· Comestic wear and tear – scratches, marks, faded finishes that don’t affect how the reel performs
· Accidental Damage - Internal or external damage due to neglect, such as dropping or banging the reel against hard objects, or transportation -related damages
· Purchasing - Shimano Stella SWD’s that are purchased from non-approved Shimano stockists. Shimano Stella SWD’s that are purchased from overseas or imported from outside Australia.
· Unauthorised repairs - Any Stella SWD that has been serviced/modified by non-authorized Shimano Australia Service technicians.
· Any item that has non genuine parts or aftermarket fittings. This includes Screws, Bearings, Handles, Drags or any part not manufactured by Shimano. Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, and saltwater corrosion.

If the reel is deemed ineligible due to the above reasons, Shimano will notify the customer with an estimate for paid repairs.
SERVICE PERIOD
If I buy a reel in 2031, can I use the service program in 2032?
No, eligibility is fixed, and all 25 Stella SW reels can be serviced until August 1st 2028, regardless of purchase date.
I had my reel serviced in February 2026. Can I request another service in December 2026, even though it’s less than a year later?
Yes, the program operates on a June–May cycle, so this request is eligible.
I had my reel serviced in June 2026. Can I request another service in April 2027?
No, as the program resets in June, this request falls within the same cycle and is not eligible.
Shimano reserves the right to modify or terminate the Stella SWD 3 Year Servicing Plan at any time without prior notice. However, all Eligible Products registered prior to termination will remain covered for the duration of the Program. Amendments will be published on the Shimano website and will take effect immediately on publication.

1. General
1.1 The Shimano Stella 3-Year Free Servicing Program is offered by Shimano Australia Pty Ltd ("Shimano") and is available for reels purchased in Australia only.
1.2 Participation in the Program is subject to these terms and conditions. By participating, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1.3 The Program applies exclusively to Shimano Stella SWD reels purchased from authorised Shimano Australia retailers during the promotional period.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Program is valid for purchases made between August 1st 2025 and August 1st 2028.
2.2 To qualify, customers must register their Eligible Product within 30 days of purchase by completing the online registration form on Shimano’s official website and providing proof of purchase.
2.3 The Program is only available to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
2.4 If Shimano determines that the Eligible Product has been tampered with or altered, rendering it non-compliant with the manufacturer’s specifications, the consumer will forfeit eligibility for servicing.
2.5 Consumers must complete the first service within one year of the purchase date and the second service within the second year to qualify for complimentary servicing in the third year. 2.6 The Program is not redeemable for cash.
2.7 No refunds are payable where the Program is not redeemed within the valid period.
2.8 The three-year service plan will commence from the date of purchase if it falls inside the eligible period of the programme.
3. Servicing Details
• Full Reel Strip-Down: Complete disassembly of the reel.
• Inspection: Assessment for worn or damaged parts.
• Cleaning: Thorough cleaning of all components.
• Regreasing and Lubrication: Application of genuine Shimano greases and lubricants to necessary parts. Includes drag assembly, line roller assembly, handle, gear system, oscillation assembly, anti-reverse, and exterior components.
• Parts Replacement: Replacement of parts as needed, at Shimano technician’s discretion.
• Quality Control: Comprehensive QC assessment upon service completion.
4. Service Process
4.1 Eligible Products must be submitted to Shimano’s authorised service centre for servicing.
4.2 Eligible reels can be the returned to a Shimano Authorised dealer or a collection can be arranged by contacting Shimano Service centre by email at spares@shimanofish.com.auShimano will cover the cost of collection and return shipping.
4.3 Servicing is subject to an average turnaround time from the date of receipt at the service centre.

8.2 Shimano’s liability is limited to the value of the servicing provided under this Program.
8.3 These terms and conditions should not be read as excluding, restricting or modifying any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
