General Information on Reel Repair Services
The length of time it takes to repair your reel is contingent on how many projects are currently in-house at any given time. We will endeavour to get your reel back within 20 business days.
(Can change due to department workload)
At Shimano we are dedicated to making the highest quality items to ensure your user experience is second to none.
Unfortunately, sometimes the unexpected happens, so Shimano Australia Fishing provides a 10-year warranty on all our fishing reel under the following conditions and in line with our warranty policy.
Exclusions under Shimano Reel Warranty
Malfunctions or damage caused by negligence, lack of maintenance, abuse or accident will not be a warrantable claim. This includes:
Corrosion due to water ingress or neglect of maintenance or general care.
Internal or external damage due to neglect, such as dropping or banging the reel against hard objects, or damage caused by incorrect disassembly or reassembly.
Shimano fishing products that are purchased from non-approved Shimano stockists.
Shimano fishing products that are purchased from overseas or imported from outside Australia.
Shimano Products that have not been stocked or imported by Shimano Australia Fishing.
Any item that has been serviced/modified by non-authorized Shimano Australia Service technicians.
Any item that has non genuine parts or aftermarket fittings. This includes Screws, Bearings, Handles, Drags or any part not manufactured by Shimano.
Service Pricing
$30 per reel
$50 per conventional or game reel
All pricing is labour only and additional charges may be applied for parts.
Shipping
All orders shipped Australian Post overnight service (excluding remote locations)
Spare Parts: $10.00 + GST flat rate for all orders.
Reel Repairs: $16.50 + GST
