1. General
1.1 The Shimano Stella 3-Year Free Servicing Program is offered by Shimano Australia Pty Ltd ("Shimano") and is available for reels purchased in Australia only.
1.2 Participation in the Program is subject to these terms and conditions. By participating, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1.3 The Program applies exclusively to Shimano Stella SWD reels purchased from authorised Shimano Australia retailers during the promotional period.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Program is valid for purchases made between in-store release and January 2028.
2.2 To qualify, customers must register their Eligible Product within 30 days of purchase by completing the online registration form on Shimano’s official website and providing proof of purchase.
2.3 The Program is only available to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
2.4. If Shimano determines that the Eligible Product has been tampered with or altered, rendering it non-compliant with the manufacturer’s specifications, the consumer will forfeit eligibility for servicing.
2.5. Consumers must complete the first service within one year of the purchase date and the second service within the second year to qualify for complimentary servicing in the third year.
2.6 The Program is not redeemable for cash.
2.7 No refunds are payable where the Program is not redeemed within the valid period.
3. Servicing Details
· Full Reel Strip-Down: Complete disassembly of the reel.
· Inspection: Assessment for worn or damaged parts.
· Cleaning: Thorough cleaning of all components.
· Regreasing and Lubrication: Application of genuine Shimano greases and lubricants to necessary parts. Includes drag assembly, line roller assembly, handle, gear system, oscillation assembly, anti-reverse, and exterior components.
· Parts Replacement: Replacement of parts as needed, at Shimano technician’s discretion.
· Quality Control: Comprehensive QC assessment upon service completion.
4. Service Process
4.1 Eligible Products must be submitted to Shimano’s authorised service centre for servicing.
4.2 Eligible reels can be the returned to a Shimano Authorised dealer or a collection can be arranged by contacting Shimano Service center by email at spares@shimanofish.com.au Shimano will cover the cost of collection and return shipping.
4.3 Servicing is subject to an average turnaround time from the date of receipt at the service centre.
5. Exclusions
5.1 The Program does not cover:
· Corrosion due to excessive water ingress or neglect of maintenance or general care.
· Internal or external damage due to neglect, such as dropping or banging the reel against hard objects.
· Shimano Stella SWD’s that are purchased from non-approved Shimano stockists.
· Shimano Stella SWD’s that are purchased from overseas or imported from outside Australia.
· Any Stella SWD that has been serviced/modified by non-authorized Shimano Australia Service technicians.
· Any item that has non genuine parts or aftermarket fittings. This includes Screws, Bearings, Handles, Drags or any part not manufactured by Shimano. Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, and saltwater corrosion.

5.2 If the reel is deemed ineligible due to the above reasons, Shimano will notify the customer with an estimate for paid repairs.
6. Termination and Amendment
6.1 Shimano reserves the right to modify or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice. However, all Eligible Products registered prior to termination will remain covered for the duration of the Program. Amendments will be published on the Shimano website and will take effect immediately on publication.
7. Privacy
7.1 By accepting this Program, you consent to the collection and handling of your personal information in line with Shimano’s Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 To the extent permitted by law, Shimano is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in this Program.
8.2 Shimano’s liability is limited to the value of the servicing provided under this Program.
8.3 These terms and conditions should not be read as excluding, restricting or modifying any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
