At the core of the new Extraction is Shimano’s bullet-proof T45 blank technology. T45 involves carbon tape being wrapped around the blank at a 45 degree angle additional to the standard carbon sheets while the blank is being rolled. This results in the construction of a blank with a light and sensitive tip section that is ideal for manipulating lures and minimising angler fatigue, that transitions into a lower section which displays the strength and durability required for high drag settings and maximum lifting power.
