Utilizing materials and construction methods that provide cost-efficient performance, we have developed a rod range that is purpose-built to suit New Zealand fishing conditions. At the core of the Vortex is a Power-Carbon composite blank. This is constructed using a combination of glass and graphite which offers a perfect balance between strength and sensitivity. The result is a durable construction that achieves relatively fast blank recovery. Leveraging this versatile design, the Vortex features Titanium Oxide Seaguides for trouble-free line management, comfortable EVA grips, a Shimano graphite reel seat, and rubber gimbal knock.
