2025 brings us the latest generation of ABYSS SW rods with jigging, trolling and deep drop models designed to handle the toughest offshore species. All 25 Abyss models utilize a T45 blank. Built by rolling graphite tape at a linear 45-degree angle and reinforcing it with two sheets of graphite rolled at opposing angles, to achieve a significant reduction in weight while maintaining incredible hoop strength and sensitivity. Jigging models are finished with premium quality Fuji Silicon Carbide guides and Fuji reel seats. The overhead jigging models are also spiral wrapped for trouble free line management. Game and deep drop models are also fitted with only the best componentry including Alps Roller guides and tips (game only) as well as heavy-duty Fuji Silicon Nitride guides to ensure optimal line management even under extreme load. Trolling models include a Pacbay dual butt system so you can choose between straight or bent butt configurations depending on spread position. Finally, the deep drop models use ultra strong AFTCO bent butts so you can fish from the rod holder with confidence.
