T-SHIRT DESIGN COMPETITION Terms and Conditions

1.     The Shimano T-Shirt design competition (‘competition’) is promoted by Shimano New Zealand Limited 72900, NZBN: 9429000007771 (‘Shimano, we us, our’), with our registered office at 79 Apollo Drive, Rosedale, Auckland 0632.

 

2.     The competition commences on October 16th, 2023 and ends at 23:59pm (NZST) on December 15th, 2023.

 

3.     The competition is open to any member of the public, residing in New Zealand, who is over the age 18. Entrants under 18 years of age warrant that at the time of entry they have the permission of their parent/guardian to enter.

 

4.     Entry into the competition will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions (‘Terms and Conditions’).

 

5.     Shimano reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made the revised Terms and Conditions will be posted immediately.

 

6.     To enter, the design must be submitted using the submission form. No other method of entry will be accepted.

 

7.     Entrants warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete. All designs must be original, previously unpublished, free of copyright restrictions, and must not contain profanity. Shimano reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.

 

8.     All designs submitted will become property of Shimano, all rights to submitted designs will belong to Shimano. Shimano may use submitted designs, free of charge, for any and all printing and promotional purposes. Shimano reserves the right to modify or adapt designs to fit within our branding guidelines without restriction.

 

9.     The top 10 designs will be chosen by the public via a voting scheme on our website. The winning design will be selected at the sole discretion of Shimano. The winner will be notified by email. The winning design will be announced on the Shimano Facebook page and the Shimano Instagram account at 18:00pm (NZST) on January 19th, 2024.

 

10.   The prize is as stated and is non-exchangeable and non-transferable. The prize is a one day fishing experience with Matt Watson. The fishing trip will take place between the months of February-April, 2024. The date of the trip will be specified by Shimano and is subject to the availability of Matt Watson. This decision will be final, and no alternative dates will be provided. The trip may be postponed due to poor weather or other reasons deemed necessary. If this occurs Shimano will nominate another date. The winner is responsible for getting to and from the location for the fishing experience, and covering their own accommodation costs if required.

 

11.  You hereby represent and warrant that any use of your name or other related materials by or on behalf of Shimano, comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and does not infringe or otherwise violate the intellectual property or other rights of any third party. 

 

12.  By entering you agree that Shimano may use your personal data for the purposes of administering the t-shirt design competition. Your personal data will be held in accordance with Shimano’s Privacy Policy in place. 

 

13.  All Shimano’s decisions in relation to the competition are final in all matters and Shimano will not enter into any correspondence with participants other than the t-shirt design competition winner and their parent/guardian/teacher who submitted the entry. 

 

14.  These Terms and Conditions are governed by New Zealand law. The courts of New Zealand shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the competition or these terms and conditions.
