The Aerlex Surf combines affordability with impressive casting performance and build quality, making it ideal for the serious angler with a limited budget, or the improving angler who wants to move up the price scale.
The Aerlex Surf sits just below the middle of the Shimano surf range and offers a great combination of affordability and high performance. Designed with a fast tip, the rods have a versatile casting action which can be easily compressed and will suit anglers of all abilities to achieve their longest casts. If you are looking for affordability, combined with good casting performance and sensitivity, the Aerlex Surf could be your perfect solution.
The Full Carbon blanks of the Aerlex are remarkably lightweight and well balanced, yet deceptively powerful when pushed to their maximum compression. You will almost certainly be surprised at how well they cast, irrespective of your experience of strength. The sensitivity comes from the hybrid tips which are fitted to all models, with the exception of the 425T which has a stronger hollow top. The hybrid tips feature a seamlessly spliced solid section, which magnifies sensitive bites from smaller fish. The stunning blanks are fitted with Seaguide XOG or XEOG guides, including Lowrider guides on some models which are all corrosion resistant, lightweight and safe for use with braid. A Shimano DPS reel seat will take the largest 14000 surfcasting reels and has been positioned to enable you to create maximum leverage with your bottom hand when casting.
Based purely on a cost to performance ratio, it is hard to beat the Aerlex Surf for value and with high quality fittings, stunning graphics and an easy to cast action it is a rod that will appeal to a wide range of anglers of all abilities.
