The Bassterra XT+ Shore Jigging delivers a powerful blend of performance and value, built for anglers who demand distance and control from the shoreline. Designed for working metal jigs along beaches and rocky coasts, its moderate-fast action also makes it highly effective with large minnows and topwater lures.
More anglers are discovering just how effective metal jigs can be when worked with a dynamic, horizontal retrieve. But success often comes down to one key factor – casting distance. That’s where the Bassterra XT+ Shore Jigging truly excels. Engineered for long-range casting, it effortlessly sends jigs and larger lures deep into the strike zone. The responsive tip brings every retrieve to life, creating action that predatory fish find hard to ignore. And its versatility doesn’t stop at the shore - it’s equally at home on a boat, ideal for targeting fast-moving pelagic species like tuna at range. If you’re looking for serious casting power combined with precision lure control, this rod delivers.
At the core of the Bassterra XT+ Shore Jigging is a powerful High Modulus Full Carbon blank, enhanced with Diaflash reinforcement for added strength and durability. This construction creates an ideal balance between casting power and responsiveness, allowing you to achieve impressive distances while maintaining the sensitivity needed for effective lure work. The moderate-fast action produces high tip speed for launching lures with ease, while the reinforced butt section provides the backbone required to control strong, fast-running fish in demanding conditions. Whether fishing over reefs, rocks, or open shoreline, the rod offers the confidence needed to stay in control throughout the fight.
To support its casting performance, the rod is fitted with Fuji K-Type Stainless Steel Alconite guides, ensuring smooth, reliable line flow and reducing the risk of tangles during powerful casts or slack-line retrieves. A Fuji VSS reel seat with a secure locking nut keeps your reel firmly in place, while the ergonomic split EVA handle offers comfort and grip during long sessions. The result is a rod that not only performs at a high level but also feels balanced, dependable, and ready for action.
