Shimano Rod Lesath Spinning Sea Trout
Shimano Rod Lesath Spinning Sea Trout

Rod Lesath Spinning Sea Trout

The Lesath Sea Trout is the most advanced Sea Trout rod range Shimano has ever produced and has been designed without compromise. The moderately fast action casts a wide range of lure sizes remarkable distances, especially when teamed up with Shimano’s top spinning reels like Stella and TwinPower, and the lightweight construction and balance keeps fatigue to a minimum when fishing hard in large bodies of water.
If you are a serious Sea Trout angler, you’ll already know that Sea Trout fishing is a tough challenge that requires dedication, a positive ‘all conquering’ attitude and the best tackle to match your ability. It’s for you that we have designed the Lesath Sea Trout range for. Pick one up and you’ll immediate recognise and appreciate the benefits of the high technology carbon used in the slim blank, as it becomes a natural extension of your hand and arm. Cast one and you’ll be amazed how far the smallest lures will fly and when you hook a fish, even at long range, you’ll never tire of the perfect fish-playing performance that unwaveringly subdues the most aggressive of fish in the shallowest of swims.
The awesome performance of the Lesath Sea Trout is generated by a combination of Shimano’s most advanced carbon technology. High Modulus Full carbon also features Spiral X Core, Hi-Power X and Nanopitch technology. This combination reduces diameter and weight, whilst retaining the required strength and speed to punch lures of all sizes considerable distances and with laser-like accuracy to showing fish or intimate holding spots.
There are three 2-piece models in the range. All are between 9ft (2.74m) and 10ft (3.05M) in length with casting weights to cover all Sea Trout lures from as light as 5g up to 35g depending on the model selected. A custom designed Shimano CI4+ reel seat blends seamlessly with the Carbon Monocoque handle and ultra lightweight Fuji Titanium SiC K-Type guides completes the highly technical, no compromise rods that are set to become the high-end benchmark by which others will be judged.

SPIRALXCORE_RD
SPIRAL X CORE

Spiral X Core is Shimano's newest and most advanced blank construction technology. By integrating Spiral X carbon tape construction with Toray Nanoalloy® technology, Spiral X Core constructed blanks benefit from up to 10% more torsional rigidity and up to 15% more compressional rigidity than rods built with Spiral X. Shimano is unique to the market by applying by high-strength carbon tape with this unique and patented Spiral X construction.

CARBONMONOCOQUE_RD
CARBON MONOCOQUE

Carbon Monocoque grip is a carbon-molded grip that is lightweight with high sensitivity, transferring even the smallest vibration to an angler’s hand. The Carbon Monocoque Grip increases sensitivity by 30% compared to traditional rod handles and utilizes a hollow structure that eliminates unnecessary parts of the rear grip to improve weight reduction and vibration transmission.

HI-POWERX_RD
HI-POWER X

Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of "X" shapes on the rod blank's outermost layer. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. This manufacturing process allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.

NANOPITCH_RD
NANOPITCH

Shimano’s Nanopitch manufacturing method enables fine-pitch and high-precision wrapping of the molding tape during the blank baking process. Nanopitch technology tightens the tape to the extreme and provides uniform pressure, increasing the circularity of the rod and ultimately improving overall rod strength.

CI4+_RD
CI4+

CI4 is a resin material reinforced with carbon fiber that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material. The rigidity and durability have been greatly improved from original CI4 material while maintaining the lightness of the material, making it possible to reduce the size and weight of the reel.
