The Sonora SW Match range is specially designed for saltwater float fishing in harbours, marinas and from rocky shores. The responsive blank has a nice progressive curve and provides a beautiful fish-playing action when fishing for smaller saltwater species like mullet and Sea bream.
If you are a fan of saltwater float fishing in the calm waters of harbours, marinas or even from rocky shores, the eye-catching Sonora SW Match will be of huge appeal. Offering excellent value for money and available in both 3 piece or telescopic formats, the Sonora has a forgiving tip action that will enable you to cast lightweight floats a good distance, using both an underhand or overhead technique, whilst enhancing your enjoyment when catching smaller saltwater species. If you live close to the sea, or are an angler who likes to fish close to your accommodation when on holiday, the Sonora SW Match is sure to give you many hours of fun.
The blank of the Sonoara SW Match is made of a composite material that offers strength and sensitivity in equal parts. With an action similar to a slightly stepped-up freshwater float rod, the Sonora is available in 4.20m (14’) and 4.50m (15ft) lengths which enable you to reach over close to shore obstructions both above and below the water. The extra length also increases casting performance for when you have to fish farther out from the bank. To aid line flow when casting, lightweight Shimano Hardlite guides are fitted to the slim blank, which is finished off with a full EVA handle and DPS reel seat.
