The Engetsu BB rod is designed for light Tai Rubber fishing. The special TAFTEC Alpha tip provides great sensitivity and the progressive curve of the rod stimulates the correct action from the rubber tail of the lure. Spiral mounted guides minimise twist torque and improve action.
Tai Rubber lure fishing originated in Asia and is a fantastic way of catching wary saltwater predators. The Engetsu BB is built on a sensitive High Modulus Full Carbon blank enhanced with Hi-Power X to reduce blank twist and deliver the correct action for fishing Tai Rubber lures. The soft middle section smoothes out any harsh rod or reel movements, to ensure the rubber tail of the lure works to maximum effect when retrieved slowly from the bottom. The inclusion of a sensitive TAFTEC Alpha tip highlights tentative bites and maximises the transmission of every movement of the lure. Fitted with lightweight Fuji SiC K-type guides, which are spiral wrapped for improved rod action, the Engetsu is fitted with an advanced Shimano X reel seat suitable for small round or baitcasting reels and a split grip EVA handle.
