Rod Norden Special Progressive Spinning

The Norden predator range offers a fantastic combination of convenience, versatility and value. The short section lengths make transport easier than conventional 2-piece rods, without impeding on the progressive action which is designed to accommodate a wide range of lure applications.
The Norden is the perfect compromise between a conventional 2-piece lure rod and an ultra short sectioned ‘travel’ rod. If that convenience appeals to you, the Norden won’t disappoint. The relatively short section lengths will comfortably fit into your car and can even be transported on public transport without too much trouble, but when put together create a seamless progressive action that belies its construction. The Norden also has an understated, traditional appearance which will appeal if you prefer a more classic looking spinning rod as opposed to a more modern ‘bass-type’ design.
Although the Norden is at the lower end of the mid-price range it still contains an impressive line-up of carbon technology. The slim blanks are manufactured from High Modulus Carbon with the inclusion of HPC (High Pressure Carbon) and Nanosheet. The tapers are designed to create a progressive action, which will cover a wide range of options, enabling the rods to be used for several different lure types within their casting weight range. This is a great advantage if you are fishing with only one rod in your armoury. In keeping with the quality look and performance, all models have black Seaguide XOG guides, high quality full cork handles and a custom designed Shimano reel seat. There are 10 rods in the range with the lighter models being really suitable for perch and trout. The middle sizes also embrace zander fishing and the two longer 3m+ lengths are great for heavier lures and larger zander and pike.

FEATURES

NANO SHEET
HPC (HIGH PRESSURE CARBON)
NANOSHEET_RD
NANO SHEET

Shimano NANO carbon is a technology which is used to build rod blanks which are on average 35% stronger and 15% lighter than a conventional rod blank. The heart of a NANO rod blank is made of a NANO carbon sheet. This sheet has a special weave which allows to use a low amount of resin which is spread into very small (nano) particles throughout the sheet. This creates the lightness, strength and responsiveness in the blank.

HPC_RD
HPC (HIGH PRESSURE CARBON)

Shimano High Pressure Carbon is a process which creates stronger, more responsive blanks. Pressure is applied to the blank surface during curing (heating) which evenly distributes the resin through the carbon fibre matrix. The result is a much stronger, more consistent performance and improved responsive.
