The mid-priced Yasei Jerkbait Casting is designed to be used with a 150 to 300 sized baitcasting reel and has the perfect attributes for effective Jerkbait fishing. The short length, combined with a good amount of backbone and a fast tip enables baits to be worked to maximum effect, with whatever speed of jerk you want, whilst minimising fatigue.
To get the best action out of your jerkbaits you need a rod with plenty of backbone and a fast tip, and that’s exactly what the Yasei Jerkbait Casting possesses. At just 1.98m in length it’s short enough to be used with a downward, or a sideways jerking technique, depending on your preference and is easy to manage when boat fishing. Pair it with a baitcasting reel in the 150 to 300 size, for optimum balance, and you have a stunning lightweight combination. This enables you to produce super-fast jerks, whilst at the same time reducing fatigue when fishing for extended periods. With an optimum casting weight of 45-100g, it is more suited to medium and large lures, but because of the forgiving nature of the tip action you can get away using lighter jerkbaits if you want. And don’t forget, whilst this model has been designed specifically for using jerkbaits, that doesn’t mean you can’t experiment by using swimbaits and crankbaits with it.
The Yasei Jerkbait is produced on a High Modulus Full Carbon blank, built using Hi-Power X technology and Nano Alloy. This reduces blank twist when casting and playing fish, and very importantly when you are jerking your lure. This results in a faster movement and whilst there are many times when a slower technique works, it’s nice to know you can up the amount of aggression in your technique if required.
To further increase overall performance, this rod is fitted with the latest design Fuji Alconite K-type guides. In keeping with the high quality design, a super comfortable Fuji ACS reel seat is fitted onto the custom-design split grip EVA handle, giving this rod a modern, eye-catching appearance that matches its brilliant fishing performance.
