What is your most famous win and what is your most precious one?

Winning the Parkdean Masters is the most famous one. My most precious win has to be my first White Acres Festival win. It took me a long time to win a festival there as the standard of angler was brilliant, and you needed to have so many different skill sets. Not just all the different commercial venues but a natural venue in Porth Reservoir as well.

Why did you want to join Shimano Aero?

Shimano is such an iconic brand renowned for producing exceptional fishing tackle, but for me, choosing a brand is about more than that. It is a partnership.

When I become a consultant, I commit fully and intend it to last throughout my angling career, so it's crucial to find the perfect fit. As a loyal person, it was important to me that I could continue my longstanding relationships with Blakes Baits and RW Floats.

Apart from my actual fishing and coaching, product development is a huge passion of mine, and after meeting Dan Bennett in February, it was clear Shimano Aero was exactly the right place for me. I believe I can learn a lot from Dan, enhancing my ability to contribute to Shimano’s future products.

Additionally, after meeting Richard Maude and Kristian Sloof, I knew this partnership was right. I am really excited to be joining Shimano Aero and can't wait to begin this next chapter.

From Team Shimano we welcome Paul to the team and look forward to work together closely.

In the coming period you will see more content from Paul on both his own channels and the Shimano Aero Social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
