The Speedmaster Surf is a mid-priced, fast action, long range surf rod which combines a high quality carbon blank with quality fittings and powerful casting performance.
The Speedmaster Surf sits in the middle of the Shimano surf rod range and offers a variety of model options to exactly suit your preference. All rods have a powerful, long range casting action, and offer a fantastic combination of high performance, choice and value.
Designed with an extra fast tip action, this great looking rod range enables you to really step on the power when you need extra distance, but still retains the sensitivity to show bites from smaller fish when using a light line approach.


The casting power of the Speedmaster is generated by the use of High Modulus Full Carbon, combined with Diaflash construction in the lower part of the blank. The sensitivity comes from the hybrid tips which are fitted to all models, with the exception of the 425T which has a stronger hollow top. The hybrid tips feature a seamlessly spliced solid section, which magnifies sensitive bites from smaller fish.
You can't fail to be impressed by the stunning blue blank, which is fitted with Stainless Steel Fuji Fazlite K-type guides or Fuji Lowrider guides depending on which model you choose. These are corrosion resistant, lightweight and reduce friction. If you use braid, you will be pleased to know that all guides are also braid safe. To accommodate large surfcasting reels, a Fuji DPS reel seat sits perfectly on the blank and has been positioned to enable you to create maximum leverage with your bottom hand when casting.
Available in two length options (4.25m and 4.50m), with casting weights ranging from 120g (Beach model) up to 200g and with two different guide options, you really are spoilt for choice with the Speedmaster Surf.
