Shimano South East Asia manages the Warranty Program for most of its range of tackles in Malaysia, Singapore & works closely with distributors in other countries to provide this aftersales service.

Most reels are warranted a 1-year conditional warranty while rods are given 2-year conditional warranty.

Please note the terms and conditions of this Warranty Program in each country may differ, so please check with your country's distributor for details.

REELS (LIMITED 1 YEAR WARRANTY)

During this period, Shimano will perform repairs or effect replacement of reels, at Shimano's option, with no cost to the original purchaser other than shipping charges incurred to our service facility.

RODS (LIMITED 2 YEARS WARRANTY)

During this period, Shimano will perform **non-breakage repairs or effect replacement of rods**, at Shimano's sole discretion, with no cost to the original purchaser other than shipping charges incurred to our service facilities.

For breakage repairs, a nominal replacement cost will be charged based on the following rod types:
**Single piece rod:** 40% SRP of the complete rod
**Multi-piece rod:** 25% SRP of the complete rod for single section breakage; 40% SRP of the complete rod for two or more section breakages.

To request warranty repairs or non-warranty service, please send your rod or reel to any Shimano Authorized Outlets.
Retailers of our products are not required or authorized to perform warranty repairs or exchanges on behalf of Shimano nor are they authorized to modify this warranty in any way.
Shimano reserves the right to void the warranty if the rods/reels have been tempered, modified or subjected to repairs not authorized by Shimano.

If your Shimano rod or reel require repairs outside warranty coverage(beyond the warranty period), Shimano or Shimano Authorized Outlets will perform the repair and send a claim for parts, labour and shipping charges (if applicable).

Please ensure that the following items are present when submitting your rod/reel for warranty claim:

Valid Warranty Sticker on rod/reel and official warranty card(Within valid warranty period)
Original Dated Sales Receipt
Completed customer portion of warranty card
Shimano's portion of warranty card has been completed and submitted within 14 days of purchase
Complete set of the rod/reel seeking warranty claim

Shimano reserves the right to reject or void the warranty should any of the above items/requirements are not met.

Please note that any tempering or false declarations made in the card will deem the warranty void with immediate effect.

This warranty will be considered VOID if the rod or reel has been subjected to unauthorized alterations, abuse or damage resulting from user's failure to provide necessary and reasonable maintenance.
Only rods and reels purchased from Shimano Authorized Outlets bearing the original warranty sticker qualifies for the warranty program.

The usual service parts & repair cost applies to all other rods & reels purchased through other sources.
In the event that the rod/reel to be repaired has been discontinued, Shimano reserves the right to replace the discontinued rod with a newer model that has equivalent specifications/cost to the customer.
Warranty claims do not cover the following models/items:

Reels: FX, AX, Hyperloop, IX, Alivio

Rods: Cruzar, Scabard, Stimula
