SHIMANO's original aluminum seat with a new shape that employs a sophisticated design to hold the reel firmly in place during fights with large fish. The parts that secure the reel legs have a flat design for even greater holding power. In addition, a resin cushion is provided to prevent the reel from shaking and scratches, and a double nut with cushion is attached to prevent the seat from loosening.
Protects rods and improves fixing force.
Lightweight & high-strength aluminum holding position. Grooves are carved into the thick aluminum material to prevent lateral displacement and rotation of the rod. This prevents damage to the blanks and dramatically increases the holding power of the rod keeper.
A sturdy butt ring is used to securely fasten the butt rope.

By integrating Spiral X carbon tape construction with Toray Nanoalloy® technology, Spiral X Core constructed blanks benefit from up to 10% more torsional rigidity and up to 15% more compressional rigidity than rods built with Spiral X. Shimano is unique to the market by applying by high-strength carbon tape with this unique and patented Spiral X construction.
