A standard standing rod with both flexibility and tenacity.

The blanks are mainly made of the supple and tenacious Ultra Durable [UD] glass material while the rod butt is made of composite carbon material that is lightweight yet strong. Wrapped with the evolved Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X technologies, the rod has a thick and tough blanks. The tip hits a nice balance of being strong and supple to allow natural bait movement to appeal to predators. The rod gives you reliable hooking performance and power to fight huge fish. The line-up of power M, MH, and H, supports a wide range of fishing methods to target a variety of species such as yellowfin tunas, groupers, and amberjacks.

Original design aluminum reel seat

SHIMANO's original aluminum seat with a new shape that adopts a sophisticated design to hold the reel firmly in place even during fights with very large fish. The parts that hold the reel legs in place have a flat design for even greater holding power. In addition, a resin cushion is provided to prevent the reel from wobbling and scratches, and a double nut with cushion is attached to prevent the seat from sagging.

SPIRAL X CORE

Spiral X Core is Shimano's newest and most advanced blank construction technology. By integrating Spiral X carbon tape construction with Toray Nanoalloy® technology, Spiral X Core constructed blanks benefit from up to 10% more torsional rigidity and up to 15% more compressional rigidity than rods built with Spiral X. Shimano is unique to the market by applying by high-strength carbon tape with this unique and patented Spiral X construction.

HI-POWER X

Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of "X" shapes on the rod blank's outermost layer. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. This manufacturing process allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.
