With the HAGANE body and the upgraded gear system, this electric reel has reached new heights. In addition to the liquid crystal screen making for better visibility during both day and night, the S Compact Body makes palming the reel a more comfortable experience and the large mechanical knob allows for falling action plays underwater.

NEW GIGA-MAX MOTOR

The GIGA-MAX MOTOR is only available on SHIMANO electric reels and the BEASTMASTER, and its greatest feature is the absence of brushes made of carbon or copper, which are used as one part of the motor to conduct the electric current. The absence of brushes means that there are no parts to wear out, thus extending the life of the motor. Another notable advantage of the GIGA-MAX MOTOR is its ability to deliver powerful power even at high temperatures, when motor performance tends to deteriorate. The new GIGA-MAX MOTOR installed in the BEASTMASTERMD3000 has a 40%*1 improvement in motor torque, and delivers the speed of the 3000XS and the power of the 3000XP with overwhelming driving force. It is strong and fast enough to be deployed at the angler's will. With its strength, speed, and durability, it opens up an unprecedented world of electric big game fishing.

Large mechanical brake knob

The size of the brake knob is larger than before to expand the possibilities for fall fishing methods on electric reels. The brake knob can now be adjusted quickly with a thumb. Brake force has also been greatly improved. This feature is especially useful when fishing for Japanese common squid, spear squid, and blackthroat seaperch to get a bite during the fall or when dropping a bait to the reel.

THERMO ADJUST DRAG

Thermo Adjust Drag is a control function designed to suppress abnormal heat generation of the drag to maintain stable drag performance. If the drag slips while the motor of the electric reel is on, the gear will idle and cause an abnormal heat generation in the drag portion of the reel. As a way to suppress excess heat, the speed of the motor is automatically reduced by the Thermo Adjust Drag when the drag begins to slip.

e-EXCITING DRAG SOUND

The e-Exciting Drag Sound is an electronic drag sound from the reel when a fish makes a run. This creates a modern solution to the mechanical clicker while adding excitement to an angler’s experience.

S A-RB

S A-RB bearings are put through the same process as Shimano’s A-RB bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. These shields reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the rotation of the bearing.

A-RB

A-RB stainless-steel ball bearings are specially treated to drastically increase the corrosion resistance of the bearing.

RAKURAKU MODE/FIXED SPEED MODE

Raku Raku Mode: Winding with constant tension to match the load on the reel. It is effective when anglers use thin line, targeting fish with soft mouths or eat upward. Fixed Speed Mode: Maintains and winds a constant speed regardless of the magnitude of the load applied to the reel. It is effective when anglers want to increase the winding power.
