This is an OCEA PENCIL model tuned to use of assist hooks. After making a full cast and landing the lure in the middle of a school of fish, it is recommended to reel in the line immediately and retrieve at a speed fast enough to make the lure float up to the surface with a fine twitch or jerk by keeping the rod tip up. With hard hooks, anglers can be reassured that hooks are planted securely when set. Even after landing your strike with a net, the single hook is not easily tangled in the net, allowing anglers to move on to the next cast with ease.
