A new series of PE along with PITBULL. Honeywell's Spectra® is used as the PE material. Eight-strand weave is finished by the MX2 method, which improves abrasion resistance and provides moderate "bounce/stiffness". The PE line is easy to use with spinning reels as well as baitcasting reels.

Testing out the latest Shimano Hardbull 8+! I initially had my doubts as I personally prefer 4 ply lines for Baitcast reels as there are fewer line issues such as line fray and line splitting especially when a birds’ nest occurs.
After using this line for a couple of trips, my confidence in 8 ply lines have been renewed for Baitcast reels. This line is super wear resistant, easy to cast (took some getting used to), and super strong! Even after a pretty bad backlash this line was still unharmed and ready to go! Highly recommend anyone who’s looking for a stiffer, more durable line to give this line go!

Designed with moderate "tension/firmness" to prevent lines from tangling. This reduces a variety problems related to the lines. Instructors involved in the development of the line have reported reduced problems.
Polyethylene yarn "Spectra®" from Honeywell Co. is adopted. It is about 15 times stronger than iron and is used in a variety of ways, such as bulletproof vests and ropes for ships, in addition to lines.
MX2 construction method in which a unique treatment is applied between filaments in the surface layer to form a highly crystallized layer. The hardened line surface contributes to improved abrasion resistance and lower elongation. The surface is coated with silicon.
Adoption of Honeywell's Spectra® fiber
Uses Honeywell's high-strength polyethylene fiber "Spectra®". The raw yarn per fiber is thicker, and the yarn has excellent waist and abrasion resistance performance.
