In addition to cutting PE lines that are usually difficult to cut, it is also suitable for handling fish and cutting hooks. The handle part has a design with a large hole so that it is easy to handle even with gloves on.
Craftsmen carefully assess each scissors' shape and warpage, which differ from one to another due to distortion caused by quenching, and then carefully attach the blade so that it is even all the way to the edge of the blade. This is the cutting ability that can only be produced by human hands, not by a machine.
PE line cannot be cut even if it is extremely sharp. In order to make a sharp cut, the overall balance of the caulking weight, crossing angle, rigidity, etc. is important.
If the weight when opening and closing the scissors is too light, the PE line will escape and cause the scissors to not cut properly. The scissors are made heavier so that they can firmly catch and cut the line.
The balance is fine-tuned after many trial cuts so that anyone can easily cut PE line by simply moving the scissors up and down without twisting or exerting force.
