SHIMANO STANDARD is designed and developed for durability not only as a fabric but also as a product designed with actual fishing in mind. It has passed tests for water pressure resistance, moisture permeability, and water repellency, assuming degradation after washing and exposure to seawater. It has achieved high specifications that can withstand actual use by anglers.

Repels water on the surface and reduces penetration into the fabric.

This product has the effect of repelling water in the form of droplets on the surface of the fabric by applying a special treatment, thereby reducing the possibility of water seeping into the fabric. Unlike waterproofing, water will penetrate from the surface of the fabric to the underside if it is exposed to vigorous water or if it sits in a wet area.

Prevents moisture and stickiness by releasing sweat vapor.

These products have a function to reduce skin irritation and stickiness by allowing moisture vapor from perspiration to escape from the garment and reducing the generation of moisture and water droplets inside the garment. This function helps to maintain comfort during rainy weather or when the wearer is active for long periods of time.

Fits well to the body without interfering with movement.

This product is made of fabric with elasticity and resilience. It has an excellent feel against the skin and does not interfere with the movement of arms, legs, and joints, making it less stressful. In addition to a comfortable fit that conforms to body lines, it also offers the convenience of easy removal.

The shell can be worn throughout the season by focusing on a three-dimensional silhouette when worn alone and a low-fitting shell when layered.

Adopts a method of adjusting the CHLOROPRENE cuff with a folded elastic belt. The cuffs are designed to provide both close fit, resistance to water uptake, and ease of movement of the wrists.

High water repellency that lasts even after 70 washes prevents water from clinging to the surface, reduces the feeling of wetness, and demonstrates the original BREATHABILITY of the fabric.

The STRETCH fabric allows for easy movement, and the tricot lining provides better skin comfort than 2.5-layer fabrics, as well as excellent durability due to the protection of the waterproof breathable membrane.

The surface of the tape is laminated with polyurethane film, and the fasteners are treated to make them watertight, thereby reducing water intrusion.

The hood opening can be adjusted with a cord located at the back of the head. It is usually hidden in the fabric, so there is no need to worry about it getting caught in any way.

The three-dimensional hood is made up of multiple panels and is designed to provide a wide field of vision while keeping out the wind and rain.

Quickly adjust the fitting with the cord lock. The drawcord has elasticity, allowing it to stretch and contract according to your body movements.

If the lining of the three-layer fabric comes in contact with water, the lining will absorb water. To cover such a weak point, we made a twist at the hem, which touches the water when standing deep in the water. By folding back the outer fabric by about 10 cm, water absorption from the lining is prevented.
