ELIGIBILITY FOR LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY
THIS LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY ONLY COVERS DAMAGE TO THE ROD RESULTING FROM A NONCONFORMITY IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP. DAMAGE CAUSED BY MISUSE, ABUSE OR TAMPERING WITH THE ROD BY OTHER THAN NORMAL USE OF THE ROD; OR ANY NON-CONFORMITY OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM REPAIRS PERFORMED OTHER THAN BY SHIMANO OR AN AUTHORIZED SHIMANO SERVICE PROVIDER IS NOT COVERED.
*Effective August 1, 2014 the warranty on all Shimano rods changed to a Limited One Year warranty.
*A receipt from an Authorized Shimano Retailer is a requirement for Shimano warranty claims. Claims without a receipt will not be accepted.
*This Limited One Year Warranty will be considered VOID if Shimano determines that (a) the rod has been subject to repairs not authorized by Shimano, (b) the rod has been modified, neglected, improperly maintained, misused, abused, or accidently damaged. (c) the appearance of the rod indicates damage by your failure to provide proper maintenance.
