New Trevala F Series Jigging Rods Wth Tc4f Construction Offer Added Sensitivity, Lighter Weight
IRVINE, Calif. - Mid-Year ’07 Intro -- Continuing efforts to bring even further advancements to its Butterfly Jigging System tackle, Shimano introduces the next generation Trevala F jigging rods, now engineered with TC4F construction. The new Trevala F rods include five casting models and five spinning models, all designed to be fished with Shimano’s highly-effective Butterfly jigs and high-speed, high-power reels such as the Trinidad Narrow and Stella series.

TC4F construction uses a high carbon butt section that is fused together with a TC4 tip section. This new blank design provides the puling power of TC4 - and inner and outer T glass wrap over wrapped graphite for durability - plus even added sensitivity and less weight.

“This next generation engineering on the Trevala F rods provide for a faster recovery rate, which will increase the jigging action, “said Robby Gant, Shimano’s senior brand manager. “And while angler are still amazed by how light and sensitive existing Trevala rods are, we’ve taken up a notch with Trevala F being that TC4F makes these rods even lighter and more sensitive.”

The Trevala F series includes the TFC-58H, TFC-58XXH, TFC-63C, TFC-63MH and TFC69ML conventional rods with Fuji palm-style reel seats. The 5’8” rod also offers an aluminum gimbal.

In spinning, the Trevala F rods include the TFX-58XXH (with aluminum gimbal), TFS-58H, TFS-63M, TFS-63MH and TFS-69ML.

All 10 rods feature Fuji Concept SIC guides, black diamond foregrip, a custom shaped reargrip, and are backed by Shimano’s limited lifetime over-the-counter replacement warranty.

“With this offering of Trevala F rods in 5’8” to 6’9” lengths and medium light to extra/extra heavy actions, anglers can select the right rod to fish Butterfly jigs ranging in weights from 55- to 325-grams, “said Gant. “Whether you’re targeting shallower species down to 150-feet, or itching to hook-up with a goliath grouper down to 300 feet and beyond, you’ll appreciate the lightweight and sensitivity you’ll have in all these situations.
